When Michael meets the schizoid Hermione his quiet life is shattered forever, while the appearance of her alter-ego Delores makes him begin to question his own sanity. But it is Hermione’s involvement with the maverick psychologist Blake which proves the biggest threat to his reason – Blake’s Dreamcatcher project not only brings Delores to life but also brings them face to face with their own alter-egos, and draws them back into a dream-vision of Brighton in 1914. But is this just a dream Michael is trapped in? Into his dreamlife is drawn Blake’s jet-skiing crony Bairre. Also the seer Tanya; whose desire to protect Hermione takes her down a dark path of her own. They need Tanya’s help; in the spring of 1914 the currents of history in which they are caught are about to threaten the future of the whole world. Accompanied by Blake and Bairre, Michael’s journey through the dreamworld of 1914 to save Hermione takes them from Brighton to Cambridge, and finally to Wannsee, where Michael learns the price he must pay to save Hermione – a destiny which began with a gunshot on Brighton beach, and ends with the gunshot which will start a war. Ultimately the only escape from their dreamworld seems to be death itself. But is even death possible, when you are trapped in a dream? Follow Dreamlife Dreamdeath on Facebook |
